Account Manager / Inside Sales

Our client, a major manufacturer and wholesaler of wood products, seeks an Account Manager / Inside Sales Representative to join their team.

In this role you will:
- Use your problem solving skills to understand, anticipate and meet customer needs
- Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Use software to process and monitor sales and customer relationships
- Process purchase orders
- Make accurate cost calculations and provide customers with quotations
- Track, follow up on price quotations and close sales
- Gain market and customer information and provide feedback for future trends
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events
- Negotiate variations in price, delivery, specifications with company managers
- Work with suppliers to check on the progress of existing orders
- Check inventory levels
- Work alongside other team members in various functions such as Operations, Purchasing, Marketing and Administration
 
Skills and experiences required
- Sales acumen
- Relationship building skills
- Strong communications skills both verbal and written
- Strong business awareness
- Strong attention to detail
- High degree of self motivation, passion and drive
- Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other applications (like CRM)
- University Degree or College Diploma or equivalent
